Features

A graph of the research around your question, and a place to write with it.

Graph View

Every project is a graph around your paper or your question. Each paper's color says how it relates, and its brightness says how strongly.

  • Green for related, yellow for a bit off-topic, amber for too far, blue for not yet placed
  • Click a paper for its summary and why Midrib put it there
  • Drag, zoom and open it full screen; on a phone, a preview you can expand

Paper pages

A readable digest of each paper: what it found, its key points, and where it came from, with the other papers it connects to and your own notes.

  • A summary written from the source, linked back to it
  • Its connections in your graph
  • Notes that stay with the paper

My Paper

Your own draft, at the center of its graph. Write in a familiar document editor, or upload a draft for Midrib to read.

  • Feedback on structure, claims without support, and sections that need more sources
  • Citation check: each citation matched against a real source
  • Coverage: what you cite beside what's in your graph, gaps marked

RRL Editor

Write your review of related literature from the graph. Midrib groups the papers into sections by theme, timeline or method; you rearrange them and write.

  • The papers for each section beside the text, ready to cite
  • Move a paper to the section where it fits
  • Send a section over from My Paper

Search and updates

Search your papers across projects and research databases, and track a topic so new papers come to you.

  • Add a database result to any project
  • New papers for each tracked topic, to add or dismiss

Your choice of model

Writing help runs on Midrib's default model with Pro, or on your own API key from Anthropic, OpenAI or Google.

  • Your key is never shown again after you save it
  • Switch or remove it any time in Settings
