About Midrib
A research tool for people writing papers and reviews of related literature.
Why it exists
Finding the research around a question is slow, and keeping track of how it all fits together is slower. Lists of search results don't show which papers matter most, which ones disagree, or what's missing. Midrib maps them as a graph around your own paper or question, so you can see the shape of the field and write from it.
What it holds to
- Rooted, not decorative
- The graph is the product. Papers branch out from your question because that's how related research actually connects.
- Verified over confident
- Every claim should trace back to a real source. When Midrib can't find one, it says so instead of guessing.
- Clear for someone under pressure
- Most people open Midrib mid-thesis and behind schedule. Each screen asks for one thing, in plain words.
- Warm, not clinical
- Research is long, human work. Midrib should feel like a good desk, not a dashboard.
What it isn't
- It doesn't write your paper for you. It helps you find, organize and check what you write.
- It doesn't invent sources. A citation it can't match is flagged.
